Obviously not what you want to hear, but I’d speak to your doctor. Out of the ordinary night sweats can be related to a lot of different things. I have hypertension and when my Bridal Party was getting too low from my medication I would wake up boiling hot too. But that’s probably not the case for you!

I also think you should go to a doctor. It could be thyroid issues since you are normally so cold.

@roweboat:  Are you recently of BCPs?  When I ovulate I get ridiculously hot at night.  I was also super hot tempwise while I was pregnant.  Also, I noticed a definite hormonal shift around 25/26 when I experienced a lot of weird symptoms for a few months.

What about your sugar intake? are you eating too many bad carbs or binge eating icecream or sugars?

A sudden sugar drop can cause this.

@roweboat:  How close are you to your period/ I am usually freezing as well (I am 50 and as far as I know, not in menopause and the freezing seems to be getting worse if anything) I have noticed that I get very hot and sweaty at night a few days before my period.

@roweboat:  what about lack of eating or skipping meals? that would do it too.

I’ll bet that your body is fighting something off. If you go to the doc this will be evident in a white or red blood cell count test.
