- Wedding: September 2011
I luck out in that my employer has ownership in the hotel I will be using for my Out of Town guests (and for our honeymoon suite the night of the wedding). They are holding a block of rooms for my guests and giving them the owner’s rate.
I planned on having the hotel information listed on the STD (just the hotel name and telephone number). Will guests know to call and use our last name to book the room? I want to make sure they get the discounted rate, but I’m unsure how to include those instructions on the Save-The-Date Cards or with the actual invite. I didn’t plan on having a separate “Accommodation” sheet with the invites, just a map insert which shows the venue and the hotel and how to get to each (along with the hotel phone number).
What is the best way to get this across? What is the proper wording?
“Block of rooms has been reserved in the Smith last name….please reference when making reservations”
Sounds stupid, I know … I’m just not sure how that works or how to word it and where to include it?
What did you do?
