I’ve blocked 10 rooms at a boutique hotel in Costa Rica for my Destination Wedding. The hotel only has 20 rooms, and I blocked its remaining 10 available rooms. The hotel is requiring guests to reserve before January 1 for a 5/17 check-in date. I’m afraid my guests will complain about how early they need to reserve, but on the other hand, I understand the need for the hotel to either book or release the rooms.
Save-The-Date Cards are going out next week (I know it’s late, but we just moved it to Costa Rica), and they will include our website link that has the hotel info.
When do invitations need to be sent? What about RSVPs?
Thanks for your help!

@lauramich: Hi. I am getting married in Costa Rica too. Well I live in the states, but I am originally from CR. Our hotel require us to have all rooms we are going to use reserved by January 31st (4 1/2 months in advance). I guest that is standard, they need to make sure to have the maximum number of rooms occupied.
I send my Save-The-Date Cards 9 months (it was more like an invite, because of the inserts with additional information) in advance. I am planning to send my invites mid october. I just want to make sure everyone that wants to go has a decent amount of time to plan, book and save.
Ps. I am wanting to do a Blue Uplighting Time-Share, check my post.
Good luck with all the planning.
