Yeah, the 4 seasons is about $1,500/night for the bridal suite so that doesn’t sound too crazy. I stayed in the Chariman Suite at the Rittenhouse and it was free because I had my wedding there. Our block for guests at the Rittenhouse was $200/night and $140/night at the Sofitel.

Getting married in Philly is expensive. We are getting married in Montana and our bridal suite is $200!

I stayed in the Philadelphia Omni Bridal Suite. It’s basically the penthouse of the hotel-that’s why it’s so expensive. It’s kind of really awesome, but the only reason we stayed there is because I got married and had my reception there so it was comped.

My sister also had her wedding in Philly and she blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn in Olde city. Those were really nice.

Our wedding is on NYE  – we blocked rooms at the Hotel Palomar – it’s $159/night.  A bit further than some of the other hotels.

I would try using http://www.hotelplanner.com for blocks of rooms. It’s a free service where the hotels bid on your group and you’re guaranteed the lowest rate in that area. I used it for my wedding in May 2010 and we ended up with a free suite!!

Be careful with http://www.hotelplanner.com – I used the site but had a hunch I wasn’t getting the lowest price. I called one of the hotels I was interested in and got a much lower rate than through hotelplanner. There was no bargaining whatsoever; they gave me a low rate right off the bat. Immediately after that I stopped using hotelplanner.
