We’re staying at the Avia hotel in Napa for the first half of our honeymoon. They originally had their rates listed as $20 more per night than Priceline listed their rates (odd, right?).
So I got on Priceline tonight to book the hotel, and thought I’d double check the hotel’s website again just in case. Well, guess what? They lowered the rate and now they’re the same. There’s a $2 difference in tax listed for some reason, but otherwise, they are identical.
So my question is this: which one should I book through? The hotel that we want? Maybe I could call and they would even do some sort of honeymoon rate? Or through Priceline, which claims that if someone books the same room at the same hotel cheaper (online I think) they will refund us the difference?
Has anyone ever gotten this refund from Priceline? Does it work if the hotel itself drops their online rate again like they did this week?
Help me please bees, I need your advice!
