We had a few guests who would need a hotel and have to travel a significant distance, but the majority are local enough to either not need hotel or be pretty familiar with the area. I bought nice cardstock the same size as the Save-The-Date Cards, and printed off a list of hotels with address and phone number and a small amount of information (ie., The following hotels are located on river at the south end of town, adjacent to the golf course; The following hotels are located adjacent to the airport; etc.). I then included this only with Save-The-Date Cards only for those folks whom I thought would need it.
ARe you doing a website? We are putting all of our hotel information on our website with the web address on the save the date and the rsvp card. We are just using a basic turqouise card stock and cutting it ourselves.
I just got cardstock at Staples–they have all sorts of colors there. I got the 8.5 by 11 size and printed on it first and then cut it into 4 rectangles. What was great about it is that I have guest staying in two different hotels–the inn where we are getting married won’t fit all our guests. So I was able to print out specific info for each guest. It worked out great!
i second the idea to put hotel info on your website rather than printing it on an extra card – this has made it much easier for us to update the hotel info (added another one) and provide more information than what you’d be able to fit on a card. gl!
Our hotel supplied us with ours…heck one less thing to print. maybe you can ask your hotel to supplies these for you as well and it’s usually free.
