Since booking our reception at an area hotel last fall, we have had three different event coordinators. This doesn’t bother me so much…I understand things happen in businesses…
BUT the way they handle it is so annoying. Out of the blue I get an email that I just HAPPEN to notice in my junk mail because it’s from a new sender. I open it and it’s a new event coordinator — but she’s not introducing herself or explaining that the previous person is gone — she just acts like nothing is new. Then she proceeds to ask me 10-15 questions that have already been answered and that are in my file. HANDWRITTEN notes taken by the previous person seem to be completely missing each time….
So I have answered the same questions three times now. Do you want your cake cut (um no, we’re not HAVING a cake), do you plan to have a keg or drink tickets (we will have one keg and X number of drink tickets), will tthe DJ announce you or do you need us to, etc. etc. etc.
I am going to email the manager and suggest they do a better job when they fire people….obviously in better language than that but you know!
