I have some silly questions and I’m too lazy to Google right now.
When do I inform guests where the hotel has been reserved? When I send the STD or inviatations? Keep in mind that rooms are very hard to come by where I live.

Not sure what proper etiquette is, but personally if the rooms are hard to come by, I’d prefer to know as soon as possible. Maybe include a small note with the STD. Especially for those who are coming from out of town.

We’re including the official information as an insert in the invitation, but have a section with it on the website as well. The website is printed on the save the date, so if anyone wants to reserve before they get the official invite they’re welcome to.

If you are reserving rooms (a block), then you don’t need to send it until you send invitations. No one can book those rooms except for your wedding guests.

We put it on our Save-The-Date Cards, website, and invitations. No harm in repeating ourselves, I really want to make sure that everyone who needs to stay at a hotel has a room at the resort where the wedding is.

@GeorgiaBride5: The hotel would like a number. I will not have enough Out of Town guests for a block. Right now, in my area, the avereage room is $200, but our discount depends on the number. I guess I’m at a standstill because I don’t know how many Out of Town, if any, would actually come. And of those, I don’t know how many would stay at a hotel or with a relative/friend. I don’t want to be rude and ask, either.

I have only seen hotel booking on invitations, but then again save the dates aren’t common in the UK.
