- Wedding: April 2012
We live in Nanaimo, as well as most of our invites, and we are having the wedding at longbeach lodge in tofino.
We are able to invite 50 people max and half of them are required to stay at the lodge but the lodge has a 2 night minmim and starts at $199 a night. I am wondering if this is asking too much, it is like a mini destination wedding.
If guests were to stay 1 night and drive the up day of it could be quite a hassle as no check in until 4pm and the ceremony will start at 1pm, so I understand the 2 night minimum (and the drive is 3 hours) but if they we able to stay at another hotel it may be cheaper and I am wondering if enough of my guests will stay?
So I was thinking since it is a mini destination wedding if there was a way to word our save the dates and invitations to get everyone to stay there? If we were going to mexico everyone would just book at the same resort why not in tofino?
Any better ideas?
