I haven’t stayed at any of those hotels, I stayed mostly in hostels in Italy, but those are all beautiful places!!!

You should read the reviews on TripAdvisor and Expedia of each hotel. I’ve found those reviews to be very accurate in the past, and they definitely helped us decide on hotels to stay at for our honeymoon in New Zealand and Australia.

I always look at the neighborhood, the security, and the cleanliness as the most important thing in the reviews. Florence and Positano aren’t too big, but Rome is huge so staying in the right neighborhood is key. That said… being right across the street from the Trevi Fountain, I bet Hotel Barocco is really nice!! Good luck with planning and PM me if you want any tips for traveling in Italy – I traveled around the country for about a month.

@Mrs. Wallaby:  I second trip advisor. I travel fairly regularly and tripadvisor leads me!

We’ll be spending a few nights post-cruise at Condotti Palace in Rome that has great reviews (and was recommended by our travel agent).

Def look at Trip Advisor– you can see real guest photos too- not just stock photos.
