1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? Our clothes are together. We share this responsibility and usually fold together.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? I cook 80% of the time and do take out 20%. Darling Husband will grill. Prior to being pregnant, I probably cooked 90% of the time. Just can’t do it some days now.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? I’m much more of a vacuum and dust person. He’s better at the deep cleanings, but not great. I foresee a house cleaner in our future (after baby is born).

4. Do you work full-time? Yes

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes

1. I do all the laundry weekly.

2. I do all the cooking.

3. I do all the cleaning.

4. I work at home full time. Having no commute and being able to do the dishes, fold the laundry, etc. on breaks makes it easy for me to manage the household chores alone.

5. My husband works out of the home full time.

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? He does. I’ve offered, and he always refuses; he wants to wash his own clothes.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? Whoever cooks, the other does the dishes. Although he works shift work, so when his days off and my days off fall on different days, the person who is off does both the cooking & the dishes.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? He actually cleans more than me. He cleans, I run all errands and do the household shopping.

4. Do you work full-time? Yes

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? We have a wash basket, and whenever either notices its getting full we put a wash on (normally me as i’m more aware!)

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? Take it in turns, normally he will start as i get back from the gym later but then i’ll take over. Saying that.. i sometimes come home and he’s happily eating cereal with no thoughts about dinner!

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? Self confessed ‘monica from friends here’ but i have calmed down ALOT since living with him this past 3 years. We still bicker now and again but its not in his mentality to go and clean the house like it will irritate me.. he will normally try to help’ when i’ve almost finished cleaning the house.. drives me mad!

4. Do you work full-time? Yes

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes

Not married yet either… but engaged and have been living together for over 2 years.

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she?
I do majority of the laundry. Occasionally he will surprise me and throw in a load though (or I ask him too if I haven’t had the opportunity for it and it really needs to be done).
We rent a place with shared laundry… so it can be tough to find time when it isn’t being used and when we are available to actually do it.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks?
I mostly cook.. but generally only ends up being 2 or 3 times a week. We don’t generally have dinner time together due to our varying work schedules.
If we have a day off together, he tends to cook something for breakfast though.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans?
He cleans… but I am way more adamant about it. It is hard for me to relax in a messy room, where as he doesn’t mind so much.
I have a bit of a routine, after I wake up, where I wipe all the counters, sweep, put the dishes away, reload the dishwasher, and put away anything out of place in the kitchen or living room. Then when I come home, I often will do atleast 1 or 2 other things such as vacumn or clean the bathroom. If I know he will be home much sooner then me, I sometimes leave a note asking if he would mind doing one of those “extra” chores. Most often, if I ask in a note, he will do it.

4. Do you work full-time?
Yes

5. Does your spouse work full-time?
Yes

1. I chose to do all the laundry. When I first lived with him long before we were married, he did a batch of his clothes and didn’t look at what he added and it turned out to be bleach and ruined a bunch of his clothes. He offers to do laundry all the time, but I rather do it so I don’t have to stress whether or not he’s accidentally bleaching it.

2. We share cooking if our night is not too busy. He cooks the meats and I cook the sides.

3. Yep full time.

4. He works way over full time. He has two jobs and works 12 hour days most days. He doesn’t technically need to, but he wants to pay off his student loans faster.

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? My Darling Husband travels a lot for work, so when he’s gone he handles his own. In the house, I do basically all the laundry. He’ll put stuff in and switch it over, but usually it’s me.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? If it’s an “indside meal” (meaning something going into the oven, like baked chicken) usually I’m cooking the whole meal. Most of the time we are splitting the cooking simply because Darling Husband handles the grill/smoker and I’ll take care of the sides to go with it. Darling Husband Is a far better cook, and enjoys it, while I hate it. I do work late in the summer months, and so usually Darling Husband does the cooking and has it ready when I get home.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? I do 99% of all the cleaning around the house. If we have guests coming over, Darling Husband will pitch in.

4. Do you work full-time? Yes, but I’m self employeed and work from home. I definitely have my busy times of the year where i’m pulling a 60+ hour work-week, and other times of the year where I’m working maybe 10-15 hours a week.

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes, and in addition to working full time (which for him is usually a 50+ hour work week all the time) it’s mostly a lot of international travel which has him gone a lot.

DH is the bread winner in our family, and travels a lot for work. I’m very thankful that his job allows us the lifestyle and things we want. Our “deal” from the beignning has always been – he handles the major bills and I handle my smaller personal bills and taking care of the home. That’s not to say he doesn’t cook dinner or clean when needed – but most of the time it falls on me. I work very hard at my business, but I also like knowing that we can afford for me to take a lower workload if needed.

1. We both take care of laundry. When it gets out of hand, whoever notices it does the wash!

2. I do all the cooking, unless we are grilling. Even then, I do all the prep work, he just grills.

3. I think we are pretty even on cleaning. I do the bigger stuff, but he is always tidying up!

4. I am a full time elementary teacher.

5. He works full time and overtime often.

We have only been married a year and a half, so I think we are still in the honeymoon phase. :o) We’ve both gotten relaxed with chores more than we did when we first got married!

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? We wash all of our clothes together and typically I do the washing though if he’s around he’ll sometimes switch the loads over or carry the clothes upstairs for (washer/dryer is in the basement and bedrooms are on the 2nd floor).

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? I am the only one who cooks, but I enjoy cooking and baking so this works out well for us!

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? We share cleaning chores. We don’t have them assigned in any way we both just do what needs done when we see it needs done. Though, he does handle the bathroom cleaning and I handle the kitchen the majority of the time.

4. Do you work full-time? Yes, we both work full-time.

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yepp.

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she?

We have a communal basket and I typically will do a few loads on the weekend. He will do a load if I remind him. He usually does the sheets and we make the bed together. I usually am the one to fold and put the clothes away.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks?

I do the cooking (lunches, dinners). He will do the grilling during the summer months. I also do all of the meal planning and grocery shopping. He honestly cannot do a thing in the kitchen, except stuff out of a can or box. It re-affirms my desire to teach any future children of mine how to cook basic, healthy meals.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans?

We share. I do all the bathrooms and keep the kitchen clean. He will dust, vaccum, and mop the floors.

4. Do you work full-time?

Yes.

5. Does your spouse work full-time?

 Yes

We’ve been married since April but living together for over 3 years. We also have an almost 2 year old and two teenagers living here part time.

1) I generally do all the laundry – with a baby it’s been out of control!

2) we generally share cooking – he probably does abit more.

3) we share the chores – we both do the grocery shopping – I probably do more of the day to day cleaning as I’m home.

4) I worked FT before having our daughter. I’m now working PT from home while she is in childcare.
