I am a Stay-At-Home Mom with our 2 kids so I do amost all of the household chores while he works full time. We are both happy with this arrangement. I used to work FT and it was a lot harder then- trying to juggle the kids and the chores and our jobs- we split things much more evenly then. Mass props to working moms who manage it all!

I wash both of our clothes at the same time. I’m in charge of laundry.

If we’re eating at home then I am cooking. He’ll help me prep though by chopping things up for me, since I hate that part lol.

If we’re both home (he works away from home) then he’ll do the kitchen and I’ll do the living room and our bedroom. We have a cleaner that comes in every other week that does the deep cleaning.

Not currently, I am a student. But looking to go back to work next month and take just part time classes next semester. I miss my working.

He works around 105 – 130 hours a week.

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? – Our clothes are together in one washing basket and whoever has time does the washing. I reckon it’s about equal. Maybe he does a little more than me.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? – He cooks.. he likes cooking and I hate it, so I’m quite happy to let him do it ๐Ÿ˜€

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? – We both clean. I do the hoovering and ironing, he usually does the dusting, I wash the floors and clean the bathroom, he cleans the kitchen.. I think I do a little more regular cleaning but he’s a huge help with stuff like cleaning windows (he does all of that) and fixing/maintaining things in the house.

4. Do you work full-time? – Yes, I do. 45hours per week.

5. Does your spouse work full-time? – Yes, he does. Also 45 hours per week.

SunflowerGarden:  How can anyone work that many hours per week ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I’m not judging, I’m just amazed. Working 9 hours per day is more than enough for me.. and your SO works more than double that?? 18 hour days?

1. Depends, if we don’t both do it together, he’ll do it ๐Ÿ™‚
2. I’m the one who cooks most of the time, he only knows how to cook a few dishes, he’s the one who makes breakfast more often though. We actually eat out more than we cook, but he always says “thank you for dinner” whenever I cook. hahaha
3. When he does the laundry by himself I usually will clean while he does that. He cleans too though, but he’s betetr at organizing. So many times I ask him to organize so I can clean afterwards.
4/5. Yeah we both work full time and at the same company, just in different departments (so it’s not like we are together 24/7). We both work 40 hours a week if not overtime.

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? I wash all our clothes together. Sometimes he washes a load too. We also share the folding duties.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? I cook 99% of the time. I like to cook so it doesn’t bother me. He will help with little things like slicing olives or opening cans, etc. He also does the grilling.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? I do most of the cleaning although he does vacuum because I hate it. He will also empty the dishwasher (I load it and hand wash any pots/pans). I do most of the housework because he does all of the outside work. I don’t like the heat and would much rather be inside the house than outside.

4. Do you work full-time? Yes, I work 40 hours a week

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes, but his schedule is more flexible because he works for his family business and they don’t have set hour days. Whenver the work is done, they go home.

amanda3334455:  Yeah, he works 15-18 hour days, 7 days a week, for 3-5 weeks at a time. Then he gets 1-3 weeks off (on average about 1.5-2 weeks though. It’s been a long time since he’s had 3 weeks off)

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? We wash our own clothes, but DH washes everything else (towels, sheets, etc).

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? He mainly cooks. I go to the gym in the evenings, so he usually has something ready for when I come home. Our meals are pretty basic… and sometimes we do cook together.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? Um, because he’s OCD and everything I do isn’t the way he likes it… he mainly does the cleaning. I do help out, so it’s not JUST him.

4. Do you work full-time? Yes

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes

I pretty much have a full-time maid and cook in my DH… and I do appreciate that.

We are not married but living together.

1. I do most of the laundry because that is one of the chores I like better. I absolutely HATE vacuuming so he does all of that, it’s a good deal ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. We almost always cook together, we both love cooking and it is an awesome way to spend time together.

3. We both clean and I think the amount is usually pretty equal, at the moment I clean a bit more though because I am writing my BA thesis at home and use cleaning to procrastinate ;). We like to take some time in the week and clean together with some music on.

4. + 5. We are both attending university fulltime and have smaller jobs. He works a bit more than me.

I won’t be married for another 4 months, but Fiance and I have been living together for the past 3 years. Here are my responses: ๐Ÿ™‚

1. Do you wash your spouses clothes or does he/she? We both help with laundry. I wash and dry, he folds and hangs. Sometimes we switch it up depending on what the other feels like doing.

2. Do you share cooking during the week, or are you the only one who cooks? We both cook. Again, depends on if the other had a long/hard day. Although, he does the majority of the cooking and I do all of the dishes.

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? We share chores. I HATE cleaning bathrooms and folding and hanging clothes, and Fiance doesn’t mind so those are his chores. He hates doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen so I do all of the kitchen chores.

4. Do you work full-time? Yep (Accountant)

5. Does your spouse Work full time? Yep (Engineer)

3. Do you share cleaning chores, or are you the only one who cleans? We share. That way, it gets done quickly.

4. Do you work full-time? Yes

5. Does your spouse work full-time? Yes
