Your Dutch is adorable! I have a 3 lb. mini lop named Willy. Here he is with his best friend, my 80 lb. male German Shepherd. They go together like peas and carrots 🙂

ETA – all my animals live in the house, they were just on the deck because it was a nice evening and I was out there grooming my female shepherd.

I want a bunny!! 🙁 But somehow my terrier and a bunny just seem like a horrible accident waiting to happen.

@ShiftedLobster:  I love that your dog’s head is bigger than your bunny!

Omg your bunnies are both SO CUTE!  I have a hamster, but I doubt there’s ever going to be a hamster thread on here, lol….

Oh, your bunnies are so cute!  The Dutch is absolutely adorable.  And look at cuddly lop!

My bunny recently died.  Actully, it was 4 months ago, but feels so recent. 🙁  I adopted him from a shelter when he was 1 and had him for 9 years, so he was 10 when he died.  I cried so much, my sweet little bunny.  He went really suddenly, was seemingly healthy, not the best Saturday evening, a little lethargic.  Sunday and he didn’t look too good and I got him into the vet first thing Monday morning.  His kidneys were failing.  He died that day. *cries*  I really loved him. 🙁

his eyes weren’t really red of course

i taught him to do a trick, where he would turn around in a circle for a treat. It eventually got to the point that if he thought I had something he wanted and wanted to beg for it, he would just come up to me and do a circle, lol.  Here is a video of him

@elysion:  Our Dutches are identical. 😛 This is Loki.  He has free range of the entire apartment, with the exception of our bedroom, because he likes to mark the bed. haha.

Oh my goodness, all of your bunnies are so cute! It makes me want a bunny of my own, but I don’t think that would bode well with my cat…

@MissTrueBlue:  My cat and bunny love each other.  It wasn’t always so, though, it took a lot of adjustment.  And now that bunny has entered a period of extreme hormones and tries humping the cat on an hourly basis, the love is strained…but that should calm down once he gets snipped 😛

@elysion:  I have a boy called LilyBelle! Same story as your Lily! 🙂

She’s an indoor bun too with full access of the lounge, kitchen and dining room.

The day I brought her home – 2 days before Christmas. She ran and hid in a pile of tinsel and I knew we were meant to be!

@Vidya: Bahaha, that is too funny! I honestly can’t stop cracking up. If that were my kitty, he would be so disgruntled! That aside, I’m glad that they do get along! It gives me some hope for the future if I ever adopt another fuzzy friend. :]

@MissTrueBlue:  My cat has no problems with the two house buns. We had five foster kittens a couple years ago and they were good too. Bunnies are pack animals, more like dogs, where as cats aren’t. They don’t care about hierarchy and so are generally ok.

We have two house buns called Amelia (a mini Rex) and Morrison (part Himalayan), who live in my study when we are not home then have free run of the house when we are. We also have a cat, Isabella, and a 9 month old White German Shepherd who is still getting used to the bunnies. We go Nikita (our shepherd) at 6 weeks and she was getting pretty good before we left her with a house sitter while went on our honeymoon. She has gotten it her head that it is okay to chase the bunnies – Amelia will have NONE of that! She leaps at Nikki’s face, just like the killer bunny from Monty Python’s Holy Grail movie!

Here are my luvbuns;

This is my bunny. We originally named him Henry but found out later that she is female. So we just call her boopie. She is about triple in size now…
