Better than nothing, but not 100% accurate. The app is the least accurate as it bases info off averages, not your own personal body and what it does.

OPK’s measure the hormone you release a day or so before ovulation, but it’s not confirmation that you did ovulate. You need to chart/temp to verify that ovulation actually happened.

@nerdwife12:  They never ever worked for me.  Even while I was charting I never testing positive and I was clearly ovulating (and even got pregnant!)

Nothing is 100% accurate. I would say it really depends on the accuracy of your data-entry. If you’re not vigilant on your temping (take it at different times/skip days) & aren’t good at identifying your CM, it’s obviously not going to be as effective.

I still think charting is more useful than OPK’s.

I used clearblue easy ovulation kit where there is a flashing smiley and solid smiley face.  I got pregnant on my 2nd cycle (which unfortunately ended in MC) and used again and I’m now 4 weeks on my very next cycle! (crossing my fingers this one sticks!)

So I would say it definitely works!

I had a positive result from one two days ago and judging by my CM it seemed to be accurate. We’ll see though.
