Have other guests carry items.

Get a crappy thrift store suitcase to take down & pay extra bag fee. Toss at resort.

Do NOT mail items.

@sweetchiquita12:  You might want to check just how much carry-on luggage you’re allowed. Normal airlines don’t allow more than a small suitcase/bag of a certain size plus a laptop or handbag. I’d be really careful because they will stop you from boarding (they’ll make you check the bag). It’s better to plan to check it (and pack it WELL) than to get there and be disappointed and unprepared. It’s also not really fair to your fellow passengers if you’re overloading the overhead compartments etc… wedding or no wedding. I do think you can make special arrangements for wedding dresses, though.. like it wouldn’t count towards your carry-on allowance.

I cant really help just didnt wanna read and run. Im destination and doing the same carry on luggage for dresses and all important paper work necessary to marry. but cuz we are only having 20 pple wedding im only taking the bits to fo in favours the tulle to wrap them up in and ribbon to attatch the name place tags i made. we meet with a florist when we are over their for tabe deco and bouquets etc. and the venue includes chair covers and sashes. we have a 1 tier cake included but we arent fussed what the put on top as i figured in 30 degree heat on hol pple wont want cake.

On my air line i have 2o kg. hand luggage is 10 kilo carry on suitcase per person. If it helps i have also got my mums carry on allowance and she will share with my dad.

speak nicely to couples (nan grandad aunt unlces and sisters and brothers) ask if they mind sharing one so u can use there allowance. fill up a carry on with your bits and ask if they mind taking it.

so im doing shoes and hair styling bits will go in there hand luggage. i have had luggage lost before so im packing everything i couldnt live with out on the day in hand luggage. so outfits shoes paperwork hair tools. if worst came to it and everything else didnt arrive i would still happily get married.x

@sweetchiquita12:  Can you ship things there in advance? That what my Maid/Matron of Honor did her her Destination Wedding…just sent them to the coordinator and she stored them until they were in town.

@sweetchiquita12:  Ok relax!! I carried more stuff that you and it all got there just fineWink

My DH is a frequent flyer so we didn’t have to pay any extra for luggage so that was an added bonus! We each had 2 HUGE suitcases each making a total of 4 bags. Then he had the carryon of his suit and I carried on my dress. We checked the rest under the plane…..I had floral arrangements, sashes, tons of DIY paper stuff, floral aisle runner, cake topper…..I am sure there is more I am forgetting.

We each had 1 bag of clothes each and 1 bag of decor each. I suggest to practice packing it all up to see how it will fit……I had a plan in place and by gosh I made it work!

We just had porters at the airport help us with the luggage and we managed just fine! You will be ok checking your bags…..I would check with the airline thou as I am sure you will be charged extra baggage fees! Just make sure you pack nice and neat and don’t just cram stuff in….LOL

Just for reference……I had all this stuff in suitcases!

This arrangement was in a checked suitcase……came out completely fine!

You need to delegate other people to carry things if you can.  My mom, dad, sister, and husband all carried stuff and then the bridesmaids and groomsmen did too.  I couldn’t do it otherwise!
