@NLbride:  Good question especially since you are very specific. If you were ok getting pregnant before I would say stop now. If you are not very interested in getting pregnant right away, then I would say stop the day of your wedding. Also, take into cosideration that you will have a period after quitting. They suggest to finish when taking your last pill for that month, so I don’t know what day that will be but you could also do that. You don’t want to have your period during your wedding 🙂 like I did!

@NLbride:  Ooh I’d say stay on until the wedding, then get your period, and then have a honeymoon baby!  I got pregnant my 4th cycle off the pill, after 12 years on, and I was pretty regular.  Everyone’s different, but I think it’ll be nice to not stress during the wedding, otherwise it’s the two-week-wait and you’ll be all anxious about drinking.

@NLbride:  Then it will probably be best to stay on it a little bit longer till wedding and honeymoon are over unless you are ok with having your period between those two events. I would probably not like that.

@NLbride:  If the pills works for you, I would just stay on them.  If TTC is the most important thing, you can always go off early and use condoms while your cycles get re-regulated.  But then you might get your period during the wedding, and coming off BCPs can mess with your skin right before the wedding.  It won’t delay you much if at all when you start trying, so if it were me I’d just stay on them until the wedding.  Good luck!

My doctor reccommends about 3 months before you plan on trying to get pregnant. If your period won’t fall on your wedding/honeymoon I’d stop before and just use condoms, but if it will maybe stop around your wedding or honeymoon, and start trying right away. It could happen quickly, just depends on how many cycles your body takes to get back to normal.

@NLbride:  it’s fine to get pregnant off the pill. Sometimes it just takes a while for your body to get back into knowing what to do – gives you gimme to figure out when/if you’re ovulating, get the drugs out of your system, etc.
