I have the SensatioNAIL at home gel kit and love it! my nails grow really fast so it only lasts me about 7-9 days. The key is to apply the polish VERY thin.

They are pretty awesome, but a pain to remove the polish.  I got them once or twice but stopped because I’m concerned about the chemicals and UV exposure.

@ButterflyKisses13:  I work in childcare and I get a Gel manicure ALL the time. This lasts through diaper changes, constantly washing my hands from cleaning nasty noses (tis the season) and thru making playdough and painting and all sorts of stuff. They are miracle nails I tell you! Mine sometimes last even 3 weeks without chipping or just minor chipping, nothing like regular polish, I would be lucky to go 24 hours with regular polish in my job haha.

@ButterflyKisses13:  Amazing! But you have to go every two weeks and never peel them off.  It’s expensive, but I always feel put together when my nails look nice.

I started using the at home gel kit (cheap Sally Hansen) and I love it!

@ButterflyKisses13:  Gel nails will last two weeks or longer.  I love them, but they do damage your nails when they are removed because many places scrape them off after soaking, and obviously acetone is used to remove them.  I was getting gel manicures regularly for nearly a year, and stopped only to find my usually strong healthy nails brittle, flaky and weak.  A year later they are strong again…and I am getting a gel manicure for my wedding.  I think if you do it in moderation, and not regularly, your nails will be fine.
