My fiance does all of our cooking.  I hate cooking (although I do bake), so he ALWAYS makes dinner.  If he’s not home, I eat cereal or peanut butter on toast for dinner!  I also think he’s a lot more romantic than I am, I’m usually much more practical.

He is much more spiritual and religious than I am.

I am a liberal Oregonian, He’s a conservative Texan of Lebanese descent, and was in the seminary.

I like chopping my own firewood and mowing my lawn, he’d rather do laundry and make breakfast.

He’s the one who really likes to cuddle.  After a little while I’m like, ok, let’s either do something about this or do something else lol.

Right now, I’m earning twice as much as he is (though that will change when he’s out of grad school and gets a major pay bump, and when I’m teaching and get a pay cut).

When it comes to food his tastes are considerably more gourmet than mine, though I would argue I am the better cook (primarily because I enjoy it more).  It’s not that I can’t appreciate gourmet (because I do and I love it) but I can also appreciate the virtues of a hot dog, and he really doesn’t.

He spends more money on things than I do.  (This is mostly a quality issue, and is honestly more reflective of our backgrounds than our genders.  I grew up in a house that, while a far cry from badly off, had to be thrifty, whereas his parents never shopped at Food Warehouse.  So I get excited when I can get a whole chicken on sale for $0.75/lb at the chain grocery store and he buys chicken at the locally owned organic food store.  Apply that logic to pretty much any product you might buy, from dish soap to tupperware.)

He’s a lot more emotional than I am. He also uses a lot of silly words. I am pretty tough. He takes longer to get ready in the morning. I wouldn’t say that we fit gender stereotypes, but I don’t think they’re reversed for us.

He cleans , everything! not that I’m a slob but it just seems that before I have a chance to get up and do the dishes/ laundry/ etc. it’s already done. I’m the one who likes camping and all thats outdoors. He also knows nothing about cars , beyond the basics. I rewired my entire 72 super beetle.
