I just bought a card today to ask my Maid/Matron of Honor, she’ll be coming to my house for the weekend and I plan to write her a heartfelt letter telling her how special she is and that she is like my sister and I can’t imagine my day without her by my side.

I asked my Bridesmaid or Best Man over the phone, because they all live far away.  My sister is an attorney, so I thought it would be funny to ask her by having a friend of hers draw up a "Maid of Honor contract".  It was hilarious–a typical employment contract with a "non-compete" clause (she couldn’t be a Maid/Matron of Honor in a wedding within 100 miles or 6 months of our wedding).  She thought it was great and she framed it.  🙂

My Maid/Matron of Honor didn’t really need asking, it was common knowledge between us. Even though she’s not really acting like an Maid/Matron of Honor right now…or even a friend right now but whatever

My bridesmaid, I just asked her a couple weeks ago. She loves Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana (yes she’s an adult too lol) and we tease her about it but I got her a Hannah Montana card and a pack of Hannah Montana pins and I wrote in the card if she would be my bridesmaid and then I drove an hour (would’ve been half an hour but I got lost) and gave it to her. 🙂 She was actually really excited which made me very happy.

I sent each of them a bouqet with a little poem in the card asking them to be my bridesmaid/MOH. It was kind of expensive, but I’m not a crafter so I couldn’t think of anything else to do.
