My Seychelles Trip the Light Fantastic in navy blue just arrived and I’m so excited! They’re lovely and fit quite well right out of the box. At 6s, they’re the smallest offered, though a hslf-size bigger than I’d like but I think the t-strap design will help with keeping them on securely while kicking up my heels on the dance floor. I do tend to have issues with almost any shoes the first few times I wear them — like rubbing on top of either my big or little toes, the upper edge on top of my foot, or the back of my heel (maybe I have weird shaped feet? Have sensitive, blister prone skin?) — so I plan to break in these before the wedding day. What are you all doing? Wearing yours around the house? To pre-wedding effects like showers? Other special occasions?

spunkybkworm: This may sound extremely weird, but I get on my treadmill and walk in them daily for about 5 – 10 minutes for a week.

spunkybkworm: I love T-strap heels! I’ll be looking for some also.
As for breaking them in… use your hair dryer if they’re leather. I’ll blast them on hot then put them on and walk around. Softens the leather and when they cool on your feet they conform to your feel better. I do this with all my leather shoes. Flats especially.

thanks! i do have a pile of ironing to be done… perhaps the hairdryer and ironing board along with a tv binge session will do the trick!
@TXbride2015: Seychelles has some gorgeous designs if you’re not looking to be super formal.

spunkybkworm: I just put them on while home and walk around in them. I actually just put them in a box in my closet as my wedding is still a ways out in Oct. In September, I’ll take them out and walk around in them every night until the day of the wedding.

If a shoe fits properly, you shouldn’t need to “break it in”. I usually walk around in them, see where I need extra support, and that’s it.

The month before, I would wear the around the house occasionally doing random things like laundry and cooking lol It worked nicely for me!
