I was wondering what your chuppah looks like, and how will you be decorating it (if you are decorating it).
I’m torn between hanging flowing from the two top corners or putting two floral arrangement in front of the chuppah. My chuppah is dressed with a light white fabric to begin with so it just needs a little extra something.
What did/will you do?

We’re going “traditional.” Just FI’s grandfather’s talis attached to four bamboo poles. We had a few people we wanted to give honors to in addition to the sheva brachot and thought it would be nice to have them hold the chuppah.

My mom is making our chuppah for us 🙂 so the chuppah cloth itself doesn’t need much decoration. We’ll have some flowers of some kind probably at the base and then were also having 4 people hold the chuppah.

I’m not the biggest flower person, so our chuppah is more about the columns it’s going to be made with (they will look like marble columns) and then some crystals hanging from all the corners.
From what you described, I would add the arrangements in front.

We are dressing the top with my fathers tallis, as he is recently passed, and I wanted to include him in the ceremony. Also we will be doing large bushels of baby’s breath down the sides.

I’m renting a really nice one from Andrea Cohen’s chuppah studio. Couldn’t afford the whole flowers everywhere so using lanterns and hurricanes down the aisle and some bright flowers at the entry of the aisle.

I made ours, and incorporated the decorations into the design.
