Kids tables, coloring books, playdoh would be great.  But I do think they will have interest in dancing and having a great time, too!

CaitMarae : that is exactly what I plan to do. We are not having any kids at the reception, but my 13 year old son, my nephews (14 & 15), Fiance cousin (12) and a couple of my son’s friends (his guests – LOL). Their centerpiece will be a mini candy bar.

LOVE the xbox idea but our venue is no big enough. But knowing them, they will make their own fun. LOL. My son is excited to host his own table!

I ordered these little kids boxes from Oriental Trading. The boxes can come empty and you can buy you own items to put inside.  They also have placemats for the kids to color. They will be for the few kids we have coming to our reception.  (they are children of our immediate family and my family the “sitters” are other family members, and since the family will be at the wedding, we have no choice but to invite them) Inside the boxes will be candy, crayons, coloring books and other $1 activity items that I will purchse from AC Moore.  They werent expensive at all only $3.99 per dozen.   Look them up online.

At the time of our wedding my daughter will be 14.  She has a couple of friends that she would like to invite to the wedding that I will utilize as babysitters during dinner as the speeches are being done.  The adults will have a stationed dinner while the kids will have plated meals.  Easier to track while sitting!  The usual toys and coloring books at the table too.  Once the meal is done we will do a kids dance with just the kids and me and my Fiance and after that the kids will join the party and my daughters friends can enjoy the rest of the night as well!

FYI I taught dance for 15 years and nanny now, so no kids is not an option!
