Nothing says “bride” quite like wearing the right veil. Of course a perfect dress will make you feel like a princess, but the veil is that one accessory that will give any gown – from casual tea length to extremely elegant – a certain je ne sais quoi to transform the wearer from engaged gal to blushing bride.
I would love to get some idea on how everyone one is going to wear their wedding veil? (or how you wore it on your wedding day?) What kind of style did you choose and how will you style your hair?
Pictures are always inspiring as well.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone 🙂

My hair is one of my greatest features I would have to say. My hair is very thick, and goes to almost my ankles. I plan to wear my hair down in curls. I didn’t want a veil hiding this. I plan to do a simple very short blusher bird cage type veil, that will completely cover my face. I also don’t like things in my face, or stuff to fidget with, I kept messing with the veils in the dress shops. With in minutes my nervous habit I’d accidently pull the veil off, at a wedding It will never last! LOL

Mine wa kinda unique. It was my moms and I got desperate and finally tried this flower headband 2
weeks maybe a week before the wedding and I just loved it. Most ladies couldn’t pull it off but i loved it

@alishaloo: Is your veil attached to the headband? I ask because your hair is pretty much exactly how I want to wear mine but I was thinking I’d have to do a half up style to keep the veil in place.

I didn’t feel like a bride until I got a veil. You only get one chance to wear one, and I wore mine all night!I did the veil tucked into my hair look, which apparently isn’t popular these days, but I loved how it turned out. It allowed the veil to drape over my arms, almost like a bolero, and it made me feel a little more secure with no sleeves.
Sorry for the pic overload….I just REALLY LOVED my veil.

I LOVED my cathedral length veil! I wore the veil for the ceremony & a few pictures only, and I switched to a bejewled headpiece for the reception. Incidentally, I’m also selling my veil, dress, belt, & hairpiece. PM me for details. 🙂

I LOVED my veil. It was silk tulle beaded (by the amazing Nicholas Kniel) on the edge to match my dress. It was sewn onto my headpiece, I wasn’t a fan of combs.

@taraelisabeth: Yeah! Maybe just use white bobby pins? I didn’t put my veil in so I didn’t know how much of the pin was showing and then my husband did this lovely dip kiss that kinda yanked it out :S oh well!

I didn’t wear my veil for long but it made some of my favorite shots of the day. It was cathedral length with a blusher.

I borrowed my SIL’s. My dress was very understated so I loved having a long veil to add some wow.
