I am doing traditional envelopes with the inner envelope.  I have a seperat envelope for the Rsvp but for all the other information i am putting them together in layers (similar to the look most pocketfolds have now) and I am going to grommet them together like a fan.  I saw it on martha’s website a few months ago and loved it.

We are doing:

  • Envelope liners – we cut them ourselves and it took an hour and a half to cut about 100 of them.
  • We made a snazzy website card from moo cards
  • We are going to use colored baker’s twine to tie it up.

I really liked Miss Cardigan’s Invitations, below: http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/11/11/our-invitations-are-amazing/#more-173058
Some ideas for you –

  • Belly bands – use strips of scrapbook paper to wrap around and seal with a sticker (you can make your own or use a craft punch with glue)
  • Twine (the brown stuff)

I just don’t understand how the twine/belly band keeps everything in place…Does it have to be really tight or something.

And, jeez. Could I worry over anything more stupid?

Were going to use ribbon. This is my inspiration:

I did a gatefold with a belly band.  We just put the inserts stacked on each other within the gatefold.
