Lets give brides some inspiration. How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? Or how are you planning to personalize it?
Lets give brides some inspiration. How did you personalize your wedding ceremony? Or how are you planning to personalize it?
robjay: We had a traditional Church of England wedding, which meant that our ceremony followed a set structure and we said the traditional vows. However, we still did a lot to personalise our ceremony and a lot of our guests commented on how nice it was:
-my friend played the organ
– we chose the hymns
– we chose the readings which we were read by 2 of our closest friends (one from the Bible, one non-religious)
– one of our bridesmaids sang a solo
– one of DH’s cousins also sang a solo, which was composed by one of my uncles
– 3 of our bridesmaids, my dad and our friend sang an anthem as a quintet
For us the ceremony was the most important part of the day (it’s why everyone is there after all!) so we put a lot of effort into choosing everything. The music was also really important to me. Hope this gives you some ideas!
robjay: I am having friends sing at the ceremony. One in particular grew up in the church I’m now getting married in, so he was so touched when I asked him to sing. My friends are very talented!
My Fiance and I love cruising… we cruise at least twice a year and love being at sea. Our wedding theme is nautical and our symbol is the anchor. Officiant did a fabulous job making the ceremony nautical too : )
robjay: I hired a professional drag queen to do a 20 minute routine at the reception. That should prove quite memorable.
