We used some of those envelope moistening sticks that you can buy at office supply stores so that we didn’t have to lick 200 envelopes shut. 🙂 And no seal.

My plan is to seal them, by licking or glue stick and then also get some sort of wax or foil seal but that might go out the window when it gets closer. Most people won’t even notice.

I used a glue dot roller like this. It works like a charm  And then I used a rubber stamp with gold ink over the flap.

We just licked them. And then we used a penguin stamp over the seal to give it a little pop.

Hmm..if I’m doing outer and inner envelopes, do the inner stay unsealed?

Im using the dot roller for our outers.

We’re just licking them shut and then putting on a decorative sealing sticker on top

We used a glue stick to hold it closed. Then I stamped the outside (the envelopes were blue so I used silver ink) with a cute saying “first comes love.” Stamp was $3 at Hobby Lobby 🙂

If you use wax, make sure to get the kind that’s made for mailing (it’s more like a hot glue than a wax). My FI’s sister used to send him letters with true wax seals and not one ever made it here intact.

We’re using a decorative sticker (on the left side):

You still have to moisten the flaps even if you use a decorative seal.
