This will be the first year of my adult life that I should get money back. For the last four years I’ve had to pay anywhere from $200 to $1800. This year I bought my first house and put money into RRSPs, so I should at least have a small return. It will just go into my savings to earn some interest until I need it for wedding expenses.

I hope we don’t owe. If we get anything back it’s going into savings to be used for either a new TV or our trip to Argentina this fall.

Thankfully, we do not owe!!! I was really worried about that since I owed last year.

We’re putting ours towards a new washer/dryer set and baby furniture! If there is anything left (which I’m hoping by getting some things used), then it’ll go into savings.

@MammaPants:  I am buying a new car!

On a side note, how did you get your return so fast?

Unfortunately we are going to owe this year so there goes any chance of adding it to savings. Ugh, irks me so much! DH paid nearly $30,000 in taxes over the 2013 year and he STILL owes more. Oy!!!

I’ll use some of it to pay off my credit card, a slightly lesser amount to pay off personal debts with family, and the rest will be for Fiance and I to just screw around with.

@jb20:  Yup, we’re also paying off one of our cars.  And we need a new washer and dryer, so the rest is going towards that. We ended up with a hefty return this year, but I’m not going to complain.

@MammaPants:  it’s gonna be one of two things, either paying off the car, or straight into savings! its honestly gonna be a really tough decision.

Already had my federal desposited in my account…

We are applying both of our tax returns to the wedding, which equals about  $2600

No plans really.. my phone is due for an upgrade, so I’m going to get that.. other than that it’ll just go into our savings for a rainy day. I’d really like to go on a spontaneous trip.. but the grown-up in me won’t do it ๐Ÿ™

I’m not getting one this year! My SO’s will be going towards paying down his debt! ๐Ÿ™ How boring!

Paying off our line of credit. So much fun.
