curls pinned to the nape of my neck, and a braid-ed like top. My hair is still in a pretty short bob (it’s normally cropped, but the Fiance asked me to grow it out for the wedding – it’s driving me crazyyyyyy because it’s so stinking thin that it just hangs there, totally flat, no matter what I do).

i have the same hair….in fact, to me, the girl in the top picture looks like she has tons of hair! my plan as of now is to keep growing it out (wedding is in a year) but get trims every once in awhile to keep the ends looking good, and then do a low chignon, possibly off to the side a bit. i had my hair done as a bridesmaid last year and the girl curled it and just pinned every curl to my head, and it lasted from 8am until i took the pins out before i went to sleep (usually curls fall out of my hair within, oh, about 60 seconds). i’m going to wear a flower too, because a) i love the look of them, and b) it’ll add to the volume of my bun! this is the only picture i can find on my computer right now and i would use a bigger flower, but here’s a basic idea.

My hairstylist curled my hair, teased it a bit, and hid a hair piece at the back of my head to give my up-do some volume. You couldn’t see the hair piece at all, but it made it look like I had a normal amount of hair instead of my actual miniscule amount. Then she pinned all the curls up onto the back of my head on top of the hair piece, with some curls pinned along the side of my head to add texture there. I thought it turned out fantastically well and I got a lot of compliments. Sorry the photo doesn’t show it that well.
