That’s not a bad idea.  I was thinking in carry ons also, but does seem a little risky.

I will probably just carry ours in my purse. Granted we could wear them cause we will technically already be married before we go to the destination

We had them in our carry-ons. We knew they were there so were were careful.

I brought a carry-on with all vital wedding-related items, just in case our luggage was lost.  Cake topper, veil, shoes, makeup, rings etc…  (Not that I would ever pack jewellery in my checked luggage, but the cake topper would have been a low risk for theft, I just didn’t want it to arrive late).

ETA:  I assume you’re bringing your dress as carry-on as well, and your fiance will have 2 pieces of carry on?  Make SURE that the carry on that has the rings is the one that you have stowed under the seat, and not in the overhead bin.  Things can get moved around, and I’ve heard of several cases where items have gone missing from carry on luggage inside the plane.

We’re going to keep them in their ring boxes in my purse (carry-on) as well. I want to be able to check up on them! lol.

I got a little pouch off of Etsy that had our wedding date on it and kept both of the rings in there inside a hidden compartment in my handbag. I didn’t want anything bulky or that screamed JEWELRY, which is why I put them in a little pouch rather than their boxes.

@SupermansSweetheart:  id wear them on a chain.

When i fly in mexico (often, cause i live here) they always warn against packing expensive stuff and often the security guys who search the luggage (in some airports they check luggage *before* you check in rather thna just at customs) will see an item like a camera etc and tell me to keep it in hand luggage. also if god forbid your suitcase goes atray and doesnt turn up…youll have them with you

also, as a random tip – if you dont have a suitcase that locks but you have two zips use the ring bit of the keyring to keep the zips together. doesnt stop a hardcore thief, but can help stop an opportunistic one who will just open zips quickly and grab what they find

have a feeling i explained that terribly!!
