I’ve been designing monograms this week, with the intention of using one as an attachment on the belly band around our invitations, like Mrs. Champagne did. But now I’m reading that the bride should not use her married last initial until after the ceremony. Is that etiquette? Is it bad luck?
How are all of you Bees using your monogram? Anyone using it on the invitations?

We did not use it on any pre-wedding items. We are screen printing it on our table runners for the reception and on pillows that will be spread on the quilts on the lawn seating at our ceremony. I’ve been wanting to use it other places… but I also didn’t want to overkill it. So I opted to not put it on our programs and reception signage. I think it being used sparingly will be nice, but not in-your-face. I just don’t want to be that wedding that everything is super personalized – and annoying.

We used ours in our invites and on the menus.

We did not use our monogram with any pre-wedding items..but for our invites we DID use a monogram with the first inital of my first name and the first inital of his first name 🙂
For our programs we just used the first inital of his (and my new) last name
We used our traditional monogram for the “informals” or thank you’s….we also used it on some engraved items at the reception.

we used it on the front of our invitation and then we will be using it on our programs, favor tags and labels for our Out of Town bags
