I wore mine for 12 years with zero problems. The ering was 2mm at the bottom and about 3.8mm at the top. The wedding band was 2mm. I also have a 1mm 14kt band that I’ve worn for 7 years that is still in perfect condition.

Gold is stronger than platinum. 23 years and still looks awesome.

I inherited a 14k yellow gold band from my mother in law. She wore it every day for 20 years, and I’ve worn it almost every day for almost 15 years. It’s still going strong with zero issues!

Platinum is stronger since 14 k gold is only 60 % gold where platinum rings are pretty much all platinum, but platinum rings scratch easier than gold. My whole family has white gold and we’ve never had any problems.

I have a 14K yellow gold band and e-ring. I actually warped the band doing yoga at home, so be careful not to put any weight on it.

I basically had no idea it was so sensitive and figured yoga is a pretty light workout (no weights involved) so I was really surprised when it happened. Because it warped, one of the pave diamonds fell out. I am still waiting to get it fixed (my jeweler was shut down temporarily due to covid).

Just a warning! I don’t regret my choice because I love the look, but it is kinda soft.

I have had my ering since Valentines Day 1996 and it still looks brand new. 10k is a stronger alloy and a little less expensive but most fine jewelery doesn’t come in that carat weight. Either way if you take care of it it will last you a lifetime.

I’ve had gold rings since I was six years old and never had any issues.  Bands without stones may change to the shape of your finger but thats about it.

I have a 24k ring I was given as a young child that still fits me and I’ve been wearing it most of my life- it’s completely fine! Don’t worry! My wedding band, spacer and engagement ring are all 14K.

I have an 18k yellow gold wedding ring and diamond ring.

My wedding ring is 33 years old. I like my rings shiny and so I’ve polished it regularly. It used to have a width of 2mm but now it’s down to 1.9mm.

My diamond ring was an anniversary gift 8 years ago. I decided to have the prongs made of 18k yellow gold too, knowing they might need retipping sometime. Well they haven’t needed retipping yet.

I wear the rings all the time except when gardening or decorating, or heavy house cleaning (I.e. involving scourers and bleach).

My engagement ring is 18k yellow gold with platinum prongs. It’s over 100 years old and still beautiful.
