My engagement ring is about 2 carat size but it’s cushion cut so it faces up a big smaller. I have a .5 tcw band. So with yours maybe .75 would look good? Really it’s down to personal preference though

franklymydearidont :  I went back to the original listing from the seller I bought it from on etsy and she listed it as .50 aprox for each stone and totaling it at 2.5ctw. I’ve never taken it to my jeweler to ask the dimensions but that’s all I have so far on it. Hope that helps

(here’s another pic for reference incase u wanted to see)

franklymydearidont :  thanks! I really like it too!😊 It was an on a whim purchase since I had the solitaire already and thought it would look good with a friend 😉

but in all actuality I prefer a 5 or 7 stone ring for comfort incase your looking at one yourself. They are easy to wear unlike an eternity ring, speaking personally

SabL22 :  That was a great decision because it looks awesome on you.

I agree. DH wants to buy me an anniversary ring, and I tried on eternity rings and didn’t find them that comfortable. So I’m considering either a 5 stone or 7 stone, which is how I found this thread. 😀

My rule of thumb, for my aesthetic, is for a diamond band total weight to be no less than twice that of the solitaire. So, for a 2.25 carat solitaire, I’d be looking at a 5-stone with .75 carat+ total weight. Just make sure the band does not contact the solitaire’s prongs or you can put your center stone at risk (faster than you might think).

If you have a look at this thread, you can see a lot of 5 and 7 stone rings. If you search for the user’s posts, you can figure out what size finger and solitaire they were.

This 5-stone by Diamonds By Lauren is amazing.

This band sits nice and low to the finger. They will make it larger if you like.
