galephys:  Can I ask why you wanted to have people guess the size?  Not judging or being rude or anything, I’m just honestly curious why you wanted to see what people’s guesses were.  Is it because you’re not happy with it?  Or is it another reason?

galephys:  no, you said you didn’t know the ring size, which implies that it is not yours.

Why are you worried about what other people think of your ring?

galephys:  You are incorrect. Generally Bees who post “Guess how big this stone is?” threads, are posting about their own ring, and they are insecure about the size. If they weren’t insecure, they wouldn’t care how large it looks to anyone else.

It’s a very pretty ring. I’m not very good at judging the size of diamonds online. There are just too many variants (i.e. cut- deep/shallow?) size of finger both circumference vs. length.

Hahhaha wow.  She’s caught in either a lie or deceitful thread and she’s lashing out.

I can’t even.. hahha omg it’s so funny!!

The Bee is such a complex world I love it.

galephys:  people respond a bit negatively to these threads because if you are not explicit about why you are asking, people can feel a bit duped. They bother to think and comment because they assume you have spotted a ring you like and want help guessing the specs, if they knew that you already know, maybe they wouldn’t bother.

If you’d said: I’m curious what size you would guess the diamond to be in my ring just by sight (I’ll share the size after getting a few responses) – then some people would have helped you play for sure.

Also there have been a few of these posts recently so you are copping for acumulated eye-roll.

Seriously beautiful ring. People ask all kinds of crazy shit on here. I can’t figure out why this one is an issue. It’s a small but lovely diamond and it’s beautifully set. It’s not as if she expected you to assure her it looked like 2 ct. because that would be silly. No? Everybody wants to know what people think about their rings. THAT’S WHY WE ALL POST THEM…lol. Well I would have guessed .25.  If you wanted the center stone to look bigger it would have been better to not have the diamond ait so high from the Halo.  The side profile shows its size. If it was flush with the Halo it would have hidden it.

The ring is way too tall and built up for my taste but that’s just me. Meeting at a point basically with the diamond on top makes the diamond look smaller.

As for Grid. Jumping on her for posting your previous post is silly.   You made a post to be deceptive. Maybe if you posted with the truth..that you changed the setting in hopes of your diamond looking bigger you would have gotten better responses. Instead you make up a post in fairy tale land. Why not just be honest?

I think people responded negative because you lied and said you didn’t know how big it was….
