I have family and friends in town starting almost two weeks before the wedding. They want to make plans with me but so far I have resisted because I can’t predict how busy I will be then. I tend to overschedule myself so I am trying to leave extra time for whatever needs to be done (and it always seems to take longer than expected!).
What was your schedule like in the week or so leading up to the wedding? What last minute things were you working on? Was it crazy busy, or a comfortable level of busy?
I should add that I don’t have much PTO and will only be taking two days off before the wedding. Wish I had more vacation!

The week before the wedding wasn’t busy until 2 days before. I only took the 2 days off before the wedding.
Everything was done but 2 days before we had to pick a few things up and drop off at the church and venue. The day before the wedding was pretty relaxed, we only had the rehearsal and dinner.
The day before and the day of the wedding I did my best to stay calm and just be happy and enjoy the day. I am so greatful I did, things went very smoothly.

As busy as you think you might be, add even more time. For me, the small details (table numbers, programs, placecards, photo props, etc) have been the most stressful. I took 3 days off work this week before my Saturday wedding and was able to get most everything done, but it was not fun. And there’s a couple more things I would’ve liked to do but at this point I’m like, “screw it.”
It also depends on how much help you’ll have. My mother and Future Mother-In-Law were huge helpers to me, so that made a huge difference in time.

@Lyndzo: Ok, that makes me feel better. I had read some other threads where bees took a full week off before their weddings so I was a little worried what it would be like with two days.
@prettynewpenny: Everything paper seems to take forever so far. We spent days putting together invitations and I suspect programs will be the same. We have a good amount of help but it feels like we have a ton left to do. Have a wonderful day tomorrow!!

i planned the wedding from out of the country and had a lot of things already organized so it wasn’t too bad. i planned out everything that needed to be done the week before and kept on schedule.
it doesn’t matter how organized you are, things will still pop up though. example: my dress that used to fit perfectly was too big so i had to take it in a week before for an emergency alteration.

I was DIYing a lot and those last two weeks before were nuts for me. But my family that were visiting from out of town were nice enoguh to offer a helping hand.

Omg extremely busy! I have tons of school work due on the weekend of our wedding, have families from out of town and a lot of running around to get all our wedding stuff finalized. We put together our own arch and we had a lot of last minute shopping due to shortage of supplies and some few revisions. I was crazy enough for planning on working the day before of the wedding..lol If you are working I advice taking at least a taking a couple of days off before the big day!
