Paper flowers

Maybe something like this, but Instead of hanging it from the center of the room you could use it as a back drop.

Super pretty chair decor for your outdoor Spring or Summer wedding!

The jars/vases of flowers can also be used in the reception as well.

Stunning ceremony decorations

Or perhaps something like this?

You could use any flowers of your choice and you could DIY with real or silk flowers.

Remove the folding chairs and Christmas trees. DONE. Spend your money on the rexeption. Your guests will spend the bulk of their time there. You will be staring into the eyes of you groom at the ceremony.

The church doesn’t look nice. Nothing you add is going to make that awful ceiling and ceilingbfan disappear or make that blue carpet or wood thing with the cross behind it look better. Don’t put lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig.

How much is your budget? I don’t think ceiling draping is cheap, but you could do something ranging from this:

to this:

The blue carpet is really not that bad… I have a bright red carpet in my church and I’ve just decided to ignore it…

For a backdrop at the front, what about something like this? Maybe mixed with the lighting and pomanders like PP suggested?
