I am in love with the Divina by Maggie Sottero in blush. My Fiance has got some indication from me that I may choose a dress that isnt white or ivory…and he knows that there is a dress that i really like in the blush colour. The problem is that I feel like I have to tell him that I am wearing blush becase our accent colours and bridesmaids colour will be dependent on the colour of my dress! Is there any way I can avaiod telling him that I am wearning blush? I want it to be a surprise. Or maybe its not as big of a deal as i think it is if he knows that I am choosing the untraditional blush colour…
what do you think?

@Blushingbella: Is he going to question why your colors/accent colors are what they are? Most guys just go with it. I think it’s totally possible to keep it a secret.

@Blushingbella: I think you can choose colors without telling him your dress is blush. Does he really care what colors you pick? If not, you pick them and just tell him what they are. If he picks colors that won’t go with the dress, just say you don’t like them and want to do something else and compromise on something you both like that will go with the dress!

I think if you pick colors that goes with the blush dress and tell him you want those as your colors, he would never wonder if it matched your dress. I really think guys just don’t think like that.

Haha, looks like we are all in agreement here!

Your dress sounds very nice! I agree with the other posters that guys probably wouldnt clue into the accent colours to know your dress was blush…I know my guy wouldnt lol

He might question it. only because we are doing destination (which i would have the tendency to pick brighter colours for) But i can cross my fingers that he wont question it. I havent purchased the dress yet… i guess the other question is…
AM I CRAZY for wanting to wear the divina to a destination wedding? i hope its not too heavy. has anyone else done a destination wedding with a non-destination dress? I have been drooling over this dress for a long time now (since before we were engaged) so its hard to imagine choosing another dress. I am going to explore a few more options before I make the blush dress official. oh so many things to think about…

I seriously doubt he’ll question you about the colors. I had already picked ours (each of our favorites), and asked then-FH-
“You don’t mind that I picked our wedding colors, do you?”
“I didn’t know weddings HAD colors.” 🙂

Yah… My fiancé doesn’t give a crap about what the colors are, he knows decorating is my thing and doesn’t want to get involved. I doubt your guy will question your choices either!

hahaha! I wish I could day the same about my Fiance… He actually likes giving his 2 cents, eeven if it is about colours! Sometimes thats a good thing, and sometimes its just inconvenient!

Unless your bf has some non-male superhero power he won’t care.
I can’t wait to try on the blush Divina!!

Where are you getting married? In a beach?
Divina is the heaviest and longest train in all of the dresses i have tried on..Two reasons why i didnt end up buying it no matter how much i adore it! Besides at 5’2″ i coulndt pull that off lols..
Def go try it on and see if it is as great on you as you imagine..
As to the colors i dont think it is a big deal if he knows.. I also dont think he will question why you pick the colors for your wedding… Guys are clueless 😉

If it comes up, there’s no reason you need to tell him anything other than you chose the colours because you love them! And most colours that go with blush will go with white or ivory too.
