We are having a small wedding (30 ppl max) in my parents backyard. So, basically the ceremony and reception are taking place like 20 feet away from each other. After we walk down the aisle as a married couple…I’m not sure what to do. Do I take pictures while others sit and watch? Do we just jump right into the reception and everyone start eating? I really do not know what to do? I feel like I will need a breather between the ceremony and reception!

Could they just mingle and drink for a little bit while your taking pictures and then when that is all done ya’ll start the dinner? I would want a bit of a break as well…

Would it be possible to usher everyone inside for a cocktail/ mingle hour; and you can stay outside for pics?
You don’t want them starring at you, so if they could go to a different area, it will flow better.

Can you go take the pics somewhere else like a nearby park?

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We are having a small wedding (35 guests) in a B&B, and we are doing all of our photos before the ceremony so that we can enjoy cocktail hour with our guests and mingle. When we recess, we are going back to our suite for a few minutes to just be together and bask in the glow, but then it’s straight to the party. We have guests coming from all over the country, so we want to maximize our time with them.
