nawella:  Do you cook or bake? Maybe you could whip up a few large meals they can easily freeze and reheat for when they get home- I bet the last thing they wanna do with a new baby is chop, cook, eat, cleanup…

Supplying them with a meal is great. If you are local and can come by to cook/bring a prepared meal (pan of lasagna, etc.), that’s fantastic. If you are not local, maybe you can get them a gift card to a local restaurant or a service like Seamless.com so that they can order a meal for takeout/delivery.

as a new mom of twins I agree with the pp, meals!!!! and when you go visit, offer to hold the baby while so she can shower, etc. As far as the delivery goes, it depends if she is excited or terrified! I was excited, not afraid at all, didn’t need a lot of pep talk. If she’s scared all you can do is reassure her everything will be ok, tell het to call you or text you if she needs some distracting. 😉
