(Closed) How can i tactfully decline to be my cousins Bridesmaid?

In my opinion, honesty is the best policy. If you were my cousin, and you said exactly what you said here to me, then I would have no option but to understand. It sounds like you have a lot going on in your life right now. I would focus more on the physical/mental toll it would take on you in order to be a big part of her day.  Remember to tell her how excited you are for her, and for her big day, but the energy level you would want to give her is just not possible.  Make sure you say to her that this is the decision you made and you arent going to change your mind.

Hopefully she will understand, and you will feel better.

i think either way she will be somewhat upset and its an obligation to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man and if you cannot live up to it, you need to let her know she can make other plans
