Personally, I would leave the descriptions off the seating chart. Your guests will want to quickly find their name on it and if there’s too much text and people hovering to read, that’ll be tough. You could add the description to the table name cards and use something like this for the seating chart:

We want to do something similar. I had thought of putting the descriptions on the back of the table name cards.  I was considering having a little map of where the tables are on the seating chart but maybe it is unnecessary with only ten tables?

Would love to see more ideas for seating charts. Great thread!
