@eeniebeans: your girls are beautiful! You can see how much they love each other 🙂
If I were going to have a second child (I’m not), I actually would have liked to have given birth last year, heh. My daughter turned 4 last year and I think that is a decent age difference. I wouldn’t have two kids in diapers at the same time but they wouldn’t be so far apart that I’d be raising children into my 50s.

Lol… Didn’t know ‘Irish twins’ was a saying outside of Ireland! Have lots of friends who are Irish twins but it’s not that common nowadays! Would love Irish twins or twins from the perspective of getting the tough baby part ‘out of the way’ (from all my friends who have had kids love them from 18+ months but tough before that… That’s when i start offering to babysit!!). Having said that, reckon I’ll end up not doing it because it’d be very tough!

I’d like to have my children about 2.5 years apart. My sister and I are almost 4 years apart, and I really think it’s too much time for us to be as close as I’d have liked to be…we’re just too different/at different stages of our lives. I was also very set in my ways as a kid, and was kinda like “WTF” when my baby sister came home….I really enjoyed being the only child and having my dolls in order and everything my way. I had too much time to like and get used to being the only one.

My kids are 16 days shy of being exactly 2 years apart.( my SIL got pregnant with her second child when the first one was only 6 weeks old and the second one showed up 6 weeks early so she has 2 girls 9 months apart :0)

Ideal would have been 3-4 years, but we just couldn’t swing it financially. Everything happens for a reason, though, because we ‘split’ for a while back in ’10 (we called off the wedding, and I moved out with our 6-year-old Dear Daughter, but we worked on the relationship)…
Dear Daughter will be 9 in the fall, now, and we’re kind of in between NTNP and TTC at the moment. So, it’ll be a 9-10 year gap which I’m kind of upset/scared about, but I’m sure it’ll be okay in the end.
