After we are married, we will be in a different state still. We are traveling to have the wedding in the state where they live.

We plan to move to their state eventually for the better jobs, community, and to be closer to family. So, one day we’ll be in the same city.

    Same as now haha

I’ve voted same City… It’s hard to decide in the UK – we live either sides of the same city. It takes like 20-30 mins to drive over

We currently live about 20 minute away but we are moving to a new state right after the wedding. It will be a out a 8 hour drive from FI’s parents and a 3 hour drive from mine. Should be perfect, both our parents like to meddle a bit so I like having some distance from them.

Same city: we live about 1 hr away from DH’s parents so we see each other about once a week, sometimes more. I don’t think I’d want to live “too” close since we’re already seeing them so often.

My inlaws are still in a different country (a 2-3 hour flight away), while my parents are a 15 minute walk away. We live in my home town, as we did before we got married.

My Mother-In-Law lives in another country – 8 hour flight.

But we are building a house and my mom will be living with us (but in a separate apartment).

southerncharm:  you didn’t give me an option for my in laws, except same country….they live in Texas and we live in South Carolina.

My parents on the other hand live right up the road, but we live in the  country so not a neighborhood, but the same city for my husband to be.

southerncharm:  My 1st in laws lived a couple miles away and they were excellent at doing the “pop in”. Omg, it drove me nuts! My current in law lives 300 miles away. Perfect!

We are 2 blocks away from his sister and her husband, and 3 blocks away from his parents. I love being so close to them. They pop in a lot, but I don’t mind. I get along with them pretty well.

Fiance and I have an apartment that is 20-45 minutes away from our families. We plan on moving to a home around this area after the wedding, so that commute time will stay the same. I’d like to be closer for our future children’s sake, but Fiance has an amazing job too far away!
