    They live about 1.5-2 hours away (in a different state). My parents only live about 15 minutes (same state, different city) away.

    My whole family and his family live in Toronto and we live near Sub-Arctic Canada, which is a 44 hour drive away. 

    Sometimes it’s nice that we have so much privacy and freedom to do whatever we want without judgement or hassle but it also means that most of our vacation time and money are spent going back to Toronto to visit and we miss out on a lot of important events. However, family are just starting to fly out to visit us now that we’ve bought a house!

    36 hour flight away embarassed 

    Literally could not get further away, lol – they’re in the UK and we’re in NZ.  Kind of sad really because DH’s family are so lovely. I wish we could see them more often.

    On the flipside, my Mum lives with us – so my DH’S Mother-In-Law is in the same house, lol! innocent
