You’d be amazed at how uplighting and draping can transform a room, I’d definitely look into it, because that is what will give you the most drastic changes!

I was going to say that you need uplighting and very tall centerpieces…here’s a little bit of what we did. It totally can change a plain white room

If you had e-pics taken I would mount them on top of the pictures on the columns too. Or if you have a theme or something print something the same size and put it in there.   How weird is the couch??

I would definitely go with the lights idea. Inspiration:

(I think the ribbons/streamers in the last one look nice)

It depends on your style though. What is your style (modern/vintage/minimalist/gotti)? What about budget? What about your wedding colors?

Depending on what you are going for, I would give you different advice 🙂

If you take away all the decor in the pics, you basically have a neutral backdrop- except for the carpet. More than one bee has posted about their “ugly” carpeting.

Are you having both ceremony and reception here? or just reception. Your pics show setups for both.

I love the idea of blowing up your engagement pics and inserting them into the frames. If you have them mounted on foam core that is cut to the perfect dimensions, they will just pop into the frame.

I honestly think it is the decor in these particular photos that is unattractive- not the room itself.

I agree with the poster above me that the decorations in the pictures are not helping the actual venue!  It really doesn’t look that bad on it’s own.  Will your wedding colours compliment the red carpeting at all?

I think the second set of pictures, the ones that have red in the wedding decor, look much better than the ones with pink and purple decor.

It will help a lot if your colours compliment the room!

I actually don’t think it’s bad at all!  What’s awful is the purple and pink tulle!
