Just wondering if anyone has ever had lash extensions?  I’ve been considering.  If I don’t get them, I will probably opt for wearing fake lashes (hopefully a bit less glam and more natural) for my day.

For someone who has never worn them I really wasn’t sure.  But my friend convinced me to try them out in my trial last week as I wanted to ‘open my eyes’ as they’re quite small. They felt odd for a while but I kept them on until 10pm with no problem.

She also used the most natural ones she had but said she has similar more natural ones she can get also if I want.

Thi is how they turned out 🙂

Yes they are absolutely an essential on your wedding day if it’s important that your overall look be elevated for a special day like that. I never wear falsies and it did feel weird or even uncomfortable at first but I forgot about them with everything going on the day of the wedding.

My mom who also never wears makeup let alone falsies agreed to wear some and then proceeded to convince my Mother-In-Law to wear some too because “they make all the difference!” Lol

Have the makeup artist apply some wispier ones if the heavier thicker glam ones bother you.

I agree with everyone else. They’re not necessary but definitely take your look to the next level. I wear them every day. Lol

Try a brand that has a really thin band, and if that doesn’t work try extensions.

soon2behb :  Nothing is required obviously but having some kind of lash enhancement will look nicer than not having it. I hate wearing strip lashes and they are so hard to make look natural. My MUA is putting individual lashes on and I barely feel them at all, but they look amazing. So that’s always an option.

Just get lash extensions. They are amazing. I just attached a pic of mine so you could see the look. They feel so great and I am always rocking them!

soon2behb :  Try some L’Oreal Voluminous mascara first. That’s about the longest mascara will make them. If you think it is enough, then awesome! If not, you may want to try lash extensions. My daughter had hers done on Saturday and I stared at her all throughout church looking for the lash strip and couldn’t find anything. They looked COMPLETELY natural. I finally had to ask her what was up with her eyelashes because they were BEYOND perfect!

Not necessary. I don’t understand everyone saying you need them to elevate your makeup out of the ordinary – I certainly wasn’t wearing my everyday makeup! Maybe that applies if you normally wear a looot of makeup?

I hadn’t wanted falsies but got convinced to wear them on the day. They were very uncomfortable but the MUA promised after 20 minutes I’d be used to it. That wasn’t true – I pulled them off right before the ceremony and just did extreme mascara instead. My friend had this fibre mascara where you kind of alternate layers of mascara and the special fibres. It was such a relief to get the falsies off and I actually like the photos without them better. I look much fresher.

You absolutely need them on your wedding day. I hate them, but they are a game changer for photos.

I can barely stand makeup on my eyes so it was a no for me. I barely wear makeup so full face was glam enough for me. I think they have individual ones that are supposed to feel more comfortable than a full set. They cost more but I think it’s worth it for comfort. Plus they have to put it on correctly otherwise you’re going to feel it. Maybe try separate from a MUA to go to one of those lash and brow places and see if you can find one that works for you.

Otherwise, I think mascara is pretty and more then enough to look amazing on your wedding day. So don’t feel pressured if you’re not comfortable. I knew that there was zero chance I’d be comfortable with it.

And no I don’t think they’re ESSENTIAL. Gorgeous brides have been getting married for CENTURIES without false lashes.

I would ask for lashes that are more light weight. When they are light I can honestly not even feel them. Or perhaps your MUA is putting too much mascara on over them and weighing them down (I’ve had this happen). Maybe even try individual false lashes and see if you notice a difference.

I personally wouldn’t go without them. I think they make a huge difference visually, especially in photos.

I LIVE for false lashes. Try the individual ones. They are more comfortable and wont feel like you want to rip them off. They will add the “wow” factor for your big day.

I say go glam and give them another try before the wedding day… Or at least wear them for your portraits! Have you tried trimming them? I usually cut a bit from the inner corner becsuse I find that they’re a bit too long for me…
