So I am a lucky lady, not only will I get getting a wonderful husband but, also get the most wonderful 14 year old step daughter anyone can imagine! :).
She is 14 and 14 is a weird age. She is too old to be a flower girl and she honestly doesn’t really want to much attention on her to be a bridesmaid/jr bridesmaid. So now we are just going to have a simple ceremony with no wedding party. However, I would really like to tie her in some how and make her stand out and feel great and special about the day too.
Anyone else have a simliar scenario and what did you do? Any ideas or suggestions would be great!

My 14yo daughter will be my bridesmaid, and my 8yo daughter will be a mini bridesmaids. We are also incorporationg a sand ceremony into our wedding.
Maybe for your ceremony you could do something with a piece of jewelry for her. I have read about that online.

I don’t have a (future) stepchild, but my cousin did when she got married a few years ago. The little girl was a bit younger than yours at the time, but my cousin presented a necklace to her during the ceremony and made vows to HER as well – how she’d always be there for her, how she was now her daughter too, etc. It was very, very sweet.

My Fiance has a 5-yr-old daughter and I have a 14 yr-old son. We are going to do the sandy ceremony. I saw that on a wedding show and I thought it was so cute.
