He proposed and we immediately wrote an e-mail to his boss (he has a hectic and “particular” schedule/career).  Boss gave us 2 dates, we chose one.  BOOM. Done.

Sounds pretty unromantic (most of our friends drop their mouths in horror) but hey, it’s gonna get done and it’s gonna be great.  🙂

I had to pick the date because my Fiance wanted it sooner but when I told him that the size of the wedding party determined that we move the date back. We had to have enough time to secure a venue and given the fact that he wanted a grand event it is important for it to be tasteful and elegant. He asked me to try to find a venue and which venue I find that has an available date that is the date we will get married. The Wedding Party called the venue and the only date they had available was the 14th of September 2013.

We chose June 14th 2013 because it is my grandparents’ 50th anniversary! It also happens to be a Friday so it’ saving us some money on the venue and we are so excited to share the celebration with them! They will share in our first dance and everything. I think it’s some serious good luck! 🙂

Our original date was September 14th, which we picked because we got engaged on the 14th (of January) and our anniversary is on the 14th (of July). But then we relalized that 9/14/13 is Yom Kippur, and since several members of FI’s and my family are Jewish that wasn’t going to work. Since I wanted to be married sooner rather than later, and my step-brother is getting married in October 2013, we chose the 7th of September instead. Still kind of neat since my brother was married on the 7th (of July).
