Just wanted to start a fun thread and see how your man proposed? Or how you proposed? I love hearing stories about it 🙂
I’ll start… It was after a road trip last summer, and we were passing through our old college town (gardner-webb university in NC) & he decided to stop by and walk around and reminisce. We were in the quad, where we first met and first kissed, sitting on a bench swing. He took me out to the middle of the quad, to the exact spot where we had our first kiss, and we hugged. I felt his heart beating fast. He said “the real reason why I wanted to come by here was because I wanted to ask you…” and he went down on one knee and asked “Will you marry me?”
Simple and sweet, I loved it and it meant more to me than any fancy proposal 🙂

That is so sweet!
He told me he wanted to take me out to the beach and planned it all himself, packed a backpack with my favorite summer food (caprese salad) and french bread and butter and a bottle of wine. He found a secluded beach and set us up away from the few other people who were there. After we set up all the food I turned around to see what he was doing and there he was on one knee

My fiance proposed on the 4th of July at his family’s cook out. Around 9 pm, he took me around the side of the house and then got down on one knee. I was freaking out and before I could say yes, his uncle started the fireworks (they all knew about it).
I was a little sad when he told me beforehand that we would be going an hour away to see his family because our hometown has a huge festival for the 4th (we live in NC too) and I didn’t want to miss it, but I am SO glad I went with him instead 🙂 Now fireworks have a whole new meaning to me!
