@jtalasek:  I’d get a bunch of the 28 oz. cans that hold tomatoes and other canned goods, spray paint them black and glue a white ribbon around it. You could even use the 35 oz. cans if you wanted to go bigger!

@NowandLater:  You can get a short cylinder vase at the dollar store, paint it matte black, and glue a white ribbon around it.

@jtalasek:  It looks like it has been sprayed with the same paint as the bottle, and a strip of white paper, or wide white ribbon has been put around the middle.

It looks like they painted a vase with that same chalkboard paint and wrapped a white ribbon around it.  For the vase you could try looking at Dollar stores, thrift stores (if you don’t mind some variation), ikea, itc.  Usually those places have cheap vases.

@jtalasek:  I made cylinders from wine containers. I spray painted them white and added ribbon.

I found them really cheap at Joanns and used coupons on them and they only cost about 3.00. Now I know these are tall but you could cut them to size

These are the ones I made…..again you could cut them to size. They are made of very hard cardboard and shouldn’t be too hard to cut

dollar tree has 7 inch cylinders, i dont believe they have shorter ones. micheals has shorter ones- i would print out a ton of their coupons. good will or salvation army or other thrift stores would probably have them too .
