- Wedding: June 2018 - Omaha, NE
We met in college, we had the same major and a lot of classes together. We actually were friends and each had other partners for a couple years before the stars aligned and we got together 🙂

We met at a local bar one night at closing time. We both worked at local restaurants and this bar is THE place to go after the other places close for the night. We didn’t see each other until everyone was leaving and we both just knew as soon as we saw each other that we needed to be with this person.

Darling Husband and I met on craigslist. Online dating is pretty normal nowadays, but craigslist is still on the fringe comparatively. I love telling people for the shock value. We are both very stable and so compatible; it’s amazing!

We met at work. We were both in college and working a part time job at bed, bath, and beyond. He actually left shortly after we met. He graduated and got a real job. We casually talked and one of our buddies who we worked with actually “set us up”. We were supposed to go on a group outing and everyone else bailed (on purpose) So we just went and have been together ever since! I think it’s kind of a fun story!

He was my neighbor. Now he’s my fiance. He started talking to me from the deck one day right after he moved in (we lived in town homes and I had to walk by the back of his to get to the mailbox). Then we talked at the mailboxes. We agreed to keep an eye on each other’s place since we worked different hours and some seedy elements had moved in next door (he lived three doors down and we had two questionable neighbors between us). We exchanged phone numbers and he started texting me. That was a year and 8 months ago. In 2 months, we will be exchanging vows!

socalgirl1689: I met my Fiance while working for the same telecommunications company. He always kind of stared at me while I’d walk by his desk; but it wasn’t until July 4, 2010 (while we work both working our mandatory holiday shift for the year) that he decided to approach me. We exchanged numbers and the rest is history.

My fiancé and I can’t really remember exactly when we met, but we saw each other weekly in a softball league. I was working a summer job to help pay for the house I had just bought and he had just come home after leaving the Army. He was living with his parents and sister after many years of living on his own and was bored, so he thankfully joined my league. I used to pick dandelions and blow the seeds away, wishing he’d ask me out. Later, I wished we’d fall in love. It took him 6 months to ask me out (after I got him on my team) and we are getting married in July of 2016 after over 2 1/2 years of dating and 3+ years of knowing each other.

Add another one for Plenty of Fish! It’s funny because I always hear people complaining about how POF sucks and there’s nobody good on there, just skeevy pervs. I mean, don’t get me wrong, POF’s got it’s fair share of skeevy pervs, but I found a lot of quality men on there. I talked with quite a few for a while and went out on dates with a few and they were all nice, upstanding gentlemen. You do have to sort through the bad ones, but it really is a great way to meet someone and I’ll sing their praises all day long.
Most people know we met online. There are a few people that think we met at a trivia night, which is where we actually met in person the first time, so it’s not really a lie.

We met through my cousin who was SO’s good friend.

His father and my mother are two of the chattiest people in our town, I think. They got talking at my primary school because my husband was my brother’s school buddy – kinda like a big brother, little brother situation. Although I actually started talking to him when an old friend of mine from high school started dating hubby’s best friend. They started dating in September, we started dating that January. 🙂

We met online two years ago! I’m so happy and grateful to the internet. Otherwise I would never have met him.
